Well you must be wondering why there haven't been any new entries for this tour. The bands laptop has ceased to function, so I'm stuck on the road with no way to tippy type this stuff in. Quite frustrating actually. There seems to have been an unfortunate co-mingling of H2O and computer chip. We've been hoping it will come back but no luck yet. What this all means (besides Tim wishing he had his own laptop) is that I'm keeping the diary the old fashioned way and I will type it in when I get home. I have a little time here in the Park City library and I'll put a little up. I'm skipping part 2 of Telluride as that's in the laptop and will be reserected when we swap out the hard-drive......

To Albuequerque.....

It's a beautiful drive. We take our time and still beat the truck and Amanda, who's driving with our friend Anne. The crowd was down from the last time we came through. Before the show I did a walking meditation around the neighborhood behind the club. The sun had set so it was cooler with a beautiful glow behind the hills to the west. I walked softly, watching my breath and ignoring the barking dogs I disturbed no matter how softly I walked.

We had a day off and decided to lay over in Flagstaff as we were playing in Phoenix the following night. I dig this town( as readers of previous installments well know). We arrive in time for dinner and choose an Irish Pub. They have a great mixed sausage plate. That, a few margaritas and a couple of friendly games of pool and you got yourself a night off.

We wound up leaving late. Trying to get everyone up and out in a timely fashion doesn't always work out. By the time we get to the Rythym Box in Phoenix the truck is already unloaded. Carey doesn't seem too happy and I don't blame him although there's not much I can do about it.

To say that Phoenix is hot is a careless exercise in understatement. Holy shit is it hot!! Will someone tell me once again why people want to live in the middle of the frikin' desert.

So far the Southwest has been a bit anti-climactic after our success at Telluride. There's once again less folks at this show than the last time we were through. It was a good show though and the people are kind to us. We stay in much friendlier confines this time but we're off way early. We have to be in Santa Barbara to play 2 nights hence.
