Floyd Fest should be called Rain Fest. This is the second year we’ve done this festival and it has rained both times. Last year we were treated to the edge of a hurricane. This year it was pretty much a steady rain. I was prepared this year with my rain coat and hat and barn boots. Our set was actually pretty rain free but there was a dense fog that settled on the field in front of us and on the stage. It was the worlds largest fogger! It was nice to play on the big stage this year. The whole Jersey squad set up a great headquarters so there was a large tent for folks to hang out and keep dry. I think the highlight of the festival was the late night dance party on Saturday with Akoye Afrobeat Ensemble. We all danced for what seemed like hours in a steady mist that turned into a downpour.
